Merchant Interoperability Service
We are pleased to introduce Merchant Interoperability - Lipa Na M-PESA across all networks. This service will enable customers from any mobile network to make transactions to any Lipa Na M-PESA Buy Goods till.
Merchant interoperability is beneficial to businesses in these ways:
1) Expanded customer base – Potential customer base broadens significantly with access to Airtel and Telkom customers.
2) Growth for business – access to a wider customer base will enable businesses to receive more payments and in turn help grow their business.
Customer Journey:
The interoperability service will work as shown below;
For Airtel customers:
1. Dial *222# from Airtel money registered mobile number
2. Select buygoods
3. Select Lipa Na M-PESA
4. Enter Till number
For Telkom customers:
1. Dial *160# from Telkom Tkash registered mobile number
2. Select buygoods and services
3. Select use M-PESA Till
4. Enter Till number
