Roaming Pickup

M-PESA Global enables M-PESA registered customers to send and receive money globally.

M-PESA Global Roaming pickup is a service on M-PESA Global that enables you as an M-PESA registered customer to cash out from a Vodacom Agent while in Tanzania.

The service is available to all M-PESA registered customers who are roaming. You can withdraw a minimum amount of KSh. 101 and maximum amount of KSh. 70,000.

Service Accessibility.

You have two channels to use while accessing the M-PESA Global Roaming pickup service. The channels include.

i. The M-PESA App

The M-PESA app is a revolutionary way to access M-PESA services. It improves your experience with core M-PESA services and exposes you to the next financial services. On M-PESA App we have 3^rd party service providers (mini-apps) providing integrated business solutions.

Cash-out using M-PESA App

• Launch the M-PESA APP
• Select Transact tab on the Navigation bar.
• Select Global
• Select Roaming pickup.
• Enter the Vodacom Agent Number
• Enter amount (minimum amount TSh 2400)
• Confirm details and enter M-PESA PIN to complete the transaction. 

ii. USSD codes *334#.

This channel enables customers with or without smartphones to access M-PESA services.

Cash-out using *334#

• Dial *334#,
• Select Send Money
• Select M-PESA Global
• Select option 2 (Roaming pick up)
• Enter the Agent number.
• Enter amount (minimum amount TSh 2400)
• Confirm the details and enter your M-PESA PIN to complete the transaction.

Withdrawal charges will differ depending on the amount that you are withdrawing. This is well explained in the table below.

The forex rate is the price of a country’s currency over another country’s currency. i.e., the price of Kenyan shilling over Tanzanian shilling.
