The Safaricom Appstore provides a platform through which local developers can expose their applications across other Vodafone/ Vodacom emerging markets such as South Africa, increasing their customer base. In addition, the Safaricom Appstore contains both free and charged applications allowing customers to pay and download for the charged applications. This empowers developers to monetize their applications and in turn generate revenue. Revenue share is 70% to the developers.
