Fake relief payments
The message is usually unsolicited with content aimed to stir one’s emotion. The fraudster will claim that they can provide some sort of relief like fake CDF cash, fake covid relief, fake retirement payments and so on.
Scammers fake messages to Safaricom customers claiming to award a relief payment.They come up with realistic circumstances such as fake Constituency Development Fund (CDF) cash, fake COVID-19 relief cash and fake retirement payments.It is expected for customers to fall for these tricks, especially those in need of funds.
