Family Connect Bundle

This is a family share plan that gives you (Safaricom customer) (referred to as Sponsor) an opportunity to buy a sharable monthly plan that you can share with your family and friends for Call or SMS to any network in Kenya.

By Dialing *444# or via My Safaricom App and select your preferred plan.

• A sponsor is the customer that buys the plans.
• The airtime purchased through the plan remains on the sponsor's wallet.
• As the sponsor, you can share the airtime with others - referred to as Beneficiaries.
• A sponsor can share with as many as 6 users/beneficiaries based on the package you will have purchased.
• The normal calling rates apply.
• Sponsors can also choose to use the Airtime alone without sharing.
• A beneficiary shall only use their allocation from the sponsor’s line if the sponsor account has airtime in the Family Connect account.
• As a sponsor, you can utilize all the Talktime without needing to allocate it to yourself (including the shared allocations to beneficiaries) since all Talktime is in their accounts.
• As a sponsor, you can add, remove, or change beneficiaries at any given time. You can also check their utilized balance via *444# or MySafaricom App.

The plans are valid for 30days from the date of purchase. There is no rollover.

Yes. The Sponsor gets the full Talktime as per the plan bought.

A Sponsor can buy the plans via: M-PESA, Airtime, Okoa or Fuliza.

No, Family Connect Talktime can only be used for Local off net and on net Calls and SMS.

Yes, as a Sponsor purchasing a Family Connect plan, you will get a notification to first pay your OKOA loan after which you can proceed to buy a Family Connect plan of choice.

Should you as a sponsor require a different plan, all you need to do is dial *444# or go to MySafaricom App and choose Family Connect to change your plan.

Kindly note:

• A Sponsor can only downgrade when they have exhausted their current Family Connect Airtime.
• A Sponsor can upgrade to a higher Talktime plan.

Dial *444# >Family connect option, select ‘Add Beneficiary, Enter the Beneficiary Number and Limit or go to MySafaricom App and select Add Beneficiary.

Yes, A sponsor or a beneficiary can top up Airtime at any time.

No. This is because the Family Connect Talktime can be used for Calls and SMS. You will require to top up should you wish to utilize services like Premium rate services.

You will be required to dial *444# or go to MySafaricom App then select “Remove Beneficiary” option and Select the Beneficiary you intend to Remove.

No. The plan does not allow Sambaza. The plan only allows sharing Talktime with selected beneficiaries by allocating them a limit.

By dialing USSD code *444* Family connect and select the “Check Balance” option or go to MySafaricom App and select Family Connect

No. A Beneficiary is currently not able to check the Family Connect Talktime allocated by the Sponsor.

A Sponsor can however check balance for all beneficiaries under their Plan.

Shorter validity Airtime are used first. Example, if you as a sponsor have a 24hour Airtime validity, that will be used before the 30day Family connect Talktime.

No. Currently Family Connect Talktime can only be used while in Kenya.

No. The Sponsor or beneficiary will need to top up their line with airtime to make International Calls and international calling rates apply.

Yes. Safaricom Customers can top-up their line with normal airtime and buy other data or Minutes plans via either *444# or *544# or via MySafaricom App

No. The Sponsor will earn bonga upon subscription.

Usage will not contribute to Stori ibambe target accumulation; however, the sponsor’s subscription amount will be considered as sponsors usage for Stori ibambe.
