Fake Safaricom branded pages

An illegal practice of attempting to impersonate Safaricom, by setting up a fake branded page to communicate with our clients to collect personal information putting them at risk.

This is where fraudsters use lifted Safaricom logos to create fake pages through pseudo accounts. The fraudsters have been found to mimic Safaricom’s social handles and ask customers to DM them after which they are conned to disclose information used to defraud them.
