Bonga Popote and Bonga Deals

Bonga Popote is a service that allows you to redeem your Bonga Points and pay for goods and services at all Lipa na MPESA Buy Goods Tills countrywide and some select Paybill numbers such as KPLC, NHIF, NSSF, GOTV, DSTV etc.

Safaricom has also partnered with a few merchants to give customers Bonga Deals. Bonga Deals are discounts negotiated on behalf of Safaricom customers to give them extra deals in addition to using Bonga points to redeem for goods or services.

These two services are available to both Prepay and Post-pay customers on the Bonga Loyalty scheme. Customers can enjoy the services when they go to *126# or visit MySafaricom App

How to Enjoy Bonga Deals

Step 1: Go to *126# and select ‘Bonga Deals’
Step 2: View the offers available and select your Preferred Deal.
Step 3: Subscribe to the Deal. You will get an SMS from BONGAREWARD with a “Discount/Voucher Code” that is valid for 1 week reading as below: Dear Customer, You have successfully redeemed the offer “Up to xx% OFF @xxxx”. Visit the branch or online page and use “xxxxx” to benefit from the offer valid until dd/mm/yyyy
Step 4: Visit the nearest branch for physical stores or the online page for online merchants and let the attendant know that you want to use the Safaricom Deal.
Step 5: Share the Discount/Voucher code with the merchant once you have received your service or good and they can apply the discount to your Purchase and confirm how much you need to pay after discount.
Step 6: Make your payments through Bonga points or Part Bonga and Part MPESA! Share Feedback & Let a fellow friend know about Bonga Deals.
