Safaricom Daily Bundle Allocation Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the Safaricom Daily Allocation Bundles Service (“the Service”) and by utilizing the daily allocation Service, you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the same: -

1. The Service

This Service enables eligible Safaricom subscribers to enjoy browsing on their phones using affordable data bundles.

2. Eligibility

The Service is open to all Safaricom customers and personalized as indicated in clause 5.

3. How to Participate in the Service

1. Dial *544# and select “My Data Deals”.

2. Proceed to make payment either through airtime or M-Pesa.

3. You will receive an SMS confirming successful purchase of the daily allocation.

4. Proceed to browse the internet.

4. Available Bundle and Validity

The offers are available for eligible subscribers, based on their monthly spend and days of use in the last sixty (60) days, as indicated in the table below, all with a midnight validity on allocated resources for the day:

The Daily allocation Service will be available from 19th February 2022 (“Launch Date”).

6. Privacy

1. Definition

   “Personal Information” means personal identifiable information as prescribed in the Data Protection Act which includes but is not limited to name, address, phone number, identification number, location data.

2. Collection of Information

   We are required by law to collect certain personal information and are legally obligated to deny you the Promotion if such information is not availed. Apart from the legal obligation mentioned above, we also need to collect your Personal Information for quality Promotion delivery. Please note that although this is voluntary, without such information we may not be able to provide quality Promotion.

3. Privacy

   We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the information we collect from you. Our privacy statement, as updated from time to time, explains how we treat your personal information, who we share your information with, and measures taken protect your privacy when you use our Promotion. This can be found on Safaricom Data Privacy Statement. If unable to access the link or our website, please reach us on any of our customer care channels to receive a copy.

4. Minors

   When registering a minor as a Safaricom subscriber, a person with parental authority shall open and maintain an account in their name for and on behalf of the minor. For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a person with parental authority shall include the birth parents of a minor, legal guardian or other person who can demonstrate legitimate authority over the minor’s affairs.

7. Other Terms

1. You can purchase another bundle through USSD *544#, *444# Tunukiwa –My Data Deals or the MySafaricomApp if you require more than the allocated daily bundle.

2. The data bundles cannot be transferred (sambaza) to a third-party device.

3. The data bundles do not rollover to the following day.

4. The data bundles are only awarded once a day.

5. The resources have lower priority over other data resource accounts with less than 24 hours validity

6. Daily allocation bundles tariffs do not apply when you are roaming.

7. All other applicable rates for use of the Safaricom Service remain unchanged.

8. Safaricom reserves the right to amend or vary these terms and conditions or to withdraw the Service at any time. In any of these events, notice will be given via media advertisements (including at Safaricom’s discretion on the Safaricom website and will be effective immediately or as at the date referred in such notifications.

9. These terms and conditions are supplemental and subject to the standard terms and conditions for the use of the Safaricom PrePay and PostPay data bundles according to the terms of usage of the Safaricom Prepay & PostPay Data Bundles (Safaricom website).
