28/11/2024 - Safaricom Hosts Forums In Greater Western Region To Celebrate Its Customers And Stakeholders
This was part of the ongoing Sambaza Furaha campaign where Safaricom is spreading Festive cheer across the country.
Safaricom has organised series of forums in the wider Nyanza and Western regions to celebrate its stakeholders including the business community, its dealers and M-PESA agents from across Greater Western region.
The engagements are meant to celebrate and enhance relationships between Safaricom and its key stakeholders in the region. They also serve as platforms to share feedback and streamline Safaricom's services in the region as the company celebrates 24 years of transforming lives.
“These engagements underscore the critical role our stakeholders have played in supporting our vision as a company, transforming lives by connecting people to each other, to knowledge, and to opportunities through technology and innovation,” said Gunilla Ouko, Regional Business Lead at Safaricom.
Through these engagements, Safaricom reinforced its commitment to nurturing strong relationships with its stakeholders, celebrating shared success, and continuing its mission to transform lives in every corner of the country.
Also speaking at the event, Mrs. Everlyne Murunga said “ As dealers, forums like these make us feel appreciated, recognized, and part of the Safaricom family. I have worked with Safaricom for 17 years, and the journey has been amazing. Through this partnership, I am a proud Kenyan who has also created employment opportunities for many people through my dealership business.”
Key engagements included, Dealers Forum, Grow with Safaricom Business forum for SMEs, Media roundtables and direct engagements with the customers through a road caravan.
This week, caravan is in Greater Western after successful trips across Mt Kenya and Rift Valley regions. The Caravan will traverse Nairobi next week before heading to the Coastal region. Itinerary for the week includes the following routes:
Today it will pass through Kisumu, Ahero, Katito, Sondu, Chabera, Kadongo, Ringa and Oyugis.
Friday: Kendu Bay, Homa Bay, Rodikopany, Opapo, Rongo, Kitere, Ranen, Awendo, Uriri and Migori.
Saturday: Kisii, Naivas,Keumbu, Nyamache, Mogonga, Nyamarambe and Suneka.
Beyond spreading holiday cheer, Safaricom is also engaging in various community activities, including S-Hook workshops for youth at Muliro University in Kakamega County and a free medical camp at Menyenye SDA School, Kimari Grounds in Nyamira.
