With this promotion, we’re allowing various Kenyans the chance win various prizes. They include free minutes, data, SMS and M-PESA cashback.

In addition to this, each week there will be 30 winners of a whopping KES 1 Million each, drawn randomly from every part of the country as well as a Grand Prize winner of KES 5 Million at the end of the 5 weeks. This is a win, not just for the individual, but for their community as well. Each million shilling winner will get an additional KES 250,000 for a community project of their choosing, that will be brought to life in conjunction with Safaricom Foundation. The Grand Prize winner will get an additional KES 1 Million for their community project.

We will also be sending 4 lucky winners to the 2024 Olympics in Paris for an all-expenses-paid trip. Every Safaricom customer who spends KES 1,500 or above on M-PESA GlobalPay through the MySafaricom or M-PESA App is eligible and will get an automatic entry into the draw.

How to Participate

Participating is simple. Here’s how to get involved:

1. Purchase a Bundle: Buy a minutes, data, or SMS bundle for KES 20 or more. You can do this by dialing *444#, *544#, *334#, or through the MySafaricom App, M-PESA App, or www.safaricom.com/bundles via airtime, M-PESA or Okoa Jahazi airtime.
2. M-PESA Transactions: Make a single chargeable M-PESA transaction of KES 200 or more through Send Money, Lipa na M-PESA (Buy Goods, Pay Bill or Pochi la Biashara) or using M-PESA GlobalPay Visa Card (for the Olympic promotion, threshold being KES 1,500 for an entry)
3. Home Fiber: Subscribe to or renew your Home Fiber subscription.

Every eligible transaction earns an individual an entry into the daily, weekly, and grand prize draws. The more entries a person has, the higher their chances of winning! Accumulated entries are visible by dialing *444#, *544#, *334#, *555#, or through the MySafaricom or M-PESA apps. Every eligible transaction prompts a Shine Kenya entry notification, unless promotional messages have been blocked by the user.

The Shine Kenya National Promotion is running from June 7th, 2024, to August 3rd, 2024, and is being conducted nationwide. It’s important to note that all winners will be contacted by Safaricom from the number 0722000000 only.
