SMEs In Nanyuki To Access High Speed Internet

Safaricom has today launched its high-speed internet dubbed ‘Fibre for Business’ in Nanyuki, targeting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

The internet is delivered through fibre technology, which has unlimited bandwidth capabilities and offers the fastest high-speed data connectivity. Nanyuki becomes the seventh town in which SMEs can enjoy fast, reliable and affordable connectivity after Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Malindi and Machakos.

Speaking during the launch, Safaricom’s Head of SME Sales and Regional Operations Agnes Gathaiya noted that the internet has unlocked countless opportunities that businesses need to tap into.

“We aim to support SMEs in not only tapping into these opportunities, but also leveraging technology to enhance their efficiency. This is the reason we are rolling out Fibre for Business in all major towns in the country,” Ms Gathaiya added.

Besides Fibre for Business, other propositions targeted at the SMEs include Easy50 and Ready Business.

The Easy50 data bundle for SMEs offers up to 50GB of data on Safaricom’s network and can be accessed by up to 10 devices, using a wireless router or smartphone as a hotspot for a flat monthly rate of KSh 6,000.

The ‘Ready Business’ platform bundles together various technology and advisory services to empower entrepreneurs tackle challenges of a rapidly changing business landscape.
