Mercedes for Lucky M-PESA Customer in New Promo
2nd October, 2012….Leading integrated communications services provider Safaricom Ltd has today launched a Kshs.18 million M-PESA promotion which will see a lucky customer drive away in a brand new Mercedes E200 valued at Kshs.7.7 million.
In the promotion, 20 customers will be rewarded with Kshs.25,000 each in a daily draw which will also see 25 weekly winners take home Kshs.5,000 and another 25 weekly winners receive Kshs.3,000 to their M-PESA accounts.
Safaricom's Chief Executive Officer Bob Collymore said this new campaign is aimed at changing the perception of M-PESA from that of a money transfer service to a convenience lifestyle tool. Through this campaign, Collymore is encouraging more Kenyans to utilize the full range of services available on M-PESA noting that the opportunities for growth for the award winning service in this market are huge.
He said, "Customers with M-PESA need not queue at ATM's or to pay their bills. We have established strategic partnerships that make it possible for you to access your finances from the comfort of your home or office, at the touch of a button."
The competition will be open to M-PESA customers who access their bank accounts through M-PESA, make payments using M-PESA pay bill and purchase goods through M-PESA Buy Goods.
