8 Kenyans Take Home Ksh 3 Million in Safaricom’s Shinda Ma Mili Finale
Safaricom (NSE:SCOM) has today awarded a total of Ksh 24 Million to 8 winners from different regions in the just concluded Shinda Ma Mili na Stori Ibambe regional promotion.
Each of the grand finale winners will take home Ksh 2 million in cash and an additional Ksh 1 million which will go towards a community project of their choice.
Speaking during the award ceremony, Sylvia Mulinge, Director – Consumer Business, Safaricom noted that this has been one of the most engaging promotions, attracting wide participation due to its regional approach.
“We took a unique approach with the Shinda Ma Mili campaign that in addition to rewarding our customers, will also benefit their local community. The campaign has been an incredible success and has seen us reward more than 2 million customers for their continued usage of our voice services,” said Mulinge.
The 8-week promotion kicked off mid-October this year and has seen Safaricom reward customers with Ksh 1 Million per week per region, in addition to over 1,200 motorcycles, M-Kopa Solar Kits and Smartphones.
In total, over 2 million consumers have been awarded various prizes over the promotion period.
The promotion took place in eight regions including Nairobi, Mount Kenya, North Eastern, Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley, Coast and Eastern.
Stori Ibambe – launched last year – rewards loyal voice customers with additional minutes resulting in a 40% increase in daily active voice usage on Safaricom’s network.
