Sisay has been with Safaricom Ethiopia for 2 years with multitude of accomplishments. Sisay is a highly accomplished professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in the areas of external affairs, corporate relations, stakeholder management, and communications.

He has a strong educational background, including a master’s degree in international relations and a bachelor’s degree in political science and international Relations from Addis Ababa University, Certified in Stakeholder Management and Community Benefits from Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his exceptional performance and commitment to delivering results. Currently serving as Acting Chief External Affairs and Regulatory Officer at Safaricom Ethiopia, he has successfully developed and executed strategies to enable the business to conduct network rollout and coverage across the country.

Prior to this, he held key positions at renowned organizations such as Diageo-Meta, Delonex Energy UK (both in Ethiopia and Chad), and Tullow Oil Ethiopia, where he led stakeholder and corporate relations efforts and managed successful oil and gas exploration projects. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise to organizations such as Medecins Sans Frontieres and the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange. With his extensive background and track record of excellence, he brings valuable skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication.
