5G for Business

Business 5G Wi-Fi is the next evolution for fixed wireless internet services that will offer businesses high-speed and reliable internet connectivity on our fast 5G network in Kenya.

Business 5G will initially be offered in areas where we have rolled out 5G network. We will gradually expand our covered areas and keep you posted on our rollout when we arrive in your area. This can also be checked through network cell info lite for 5G - Google Search using a 5G enabled handset.

YES, Business 5G Basic speeds (20mbps) can be achieved on specific 4G Sites within the Network. This can be confirmed through the use of Internet Speed test measurements application such as but not limited to FAST Speed Test – Apps on Google Play

Our sales teams will reach to customers within 5G coverage and engage them for onboarding. You can also express your interest by dialing *485# and select “Get Connected” for our teams to get back to you.

Business 5G will be available on below packages. Speed allocation for the packages will vary as indicated.

All 5G For Business subscriptions shall have a fair usage policy (FUP) rule attached to it. While these limits are high to ensure an always-connected experience across for a whole month, they shall remain valid until December 31, 2023. Safaricom reserves the right to adjust them as business and usage rules change at any point within the life of the contract.

Routers will be sold at a one-off cost of Ksh 9999 for Nokia 5G Gen 1 router.

Business 5G will be offered on postpaid mode. Prepaid mode will be availed later. Postpaid monthly bill will be run at the end of every month (on the 1st of the succeeding month) and will be due on the 16th of the bill run month. Your account will be due for disconnection if bill is not settled on time. You can pay via:

  • Paybill 200200 with the link MSISDN as the Account Number.
  • From our shops in cash or cheque. Cheque payment will need to clear before they are posted.

You can manage your 5G For Business link via *485#. This will allow you to check link balance, connection status and update link details.

Yes, postpaid service will require a deposit equivalent to the service monthly charge. This is refundable upon service termination and settlement of all due bills.

You can upgrade or downgrade your package by requesting for service change either in writing or through our sales agent. This shall then be implemented, and you will be advised once order for service change is completed. We will keep improving on available channels to introduce a capability for self-service for service change.
