The Loyalty scheme
In January 2007, Safaricom introduced a new and exciting reward program available to ALL Safaricom subscribers both prepaid and postpaid. Bonga points - Customers can earn Bonga points every time they use their Safaricom mobile phone. If you make a call, send a message, etc for less than Ksh10, your micro points for that transaction will be held until it reaches the Kshs10 mark.
- Customers earn a minimum of ONE Bonga Point for every Kshs. 10 spent on voice calls, SMS and data.
- The more a customer uses their Safaricom line, the more points the get and the BIGGER the rewards!
- Points will be earned for all types of chargeable usage except tariff migrations, standing charges and postpaid monthly access fees.
- Simu ya Jamii and Sambaza lines for Dealers are exempted from earning points.
- The Bonga points start accumulating immediately after enrolling.
- The Bonga Points will be used to redeem for rewards either from their handset for minutes and SMS. For merchandise the customer can redeem from any safaricom retatil center countrywide.
